My Rating:
MrReaves and I found this place (by chance) open on Christmas Day, and we ended up staying for 6 hours. We had two different waitresses during this time, and each one was friendly, attentive and spoke better English than either of us speak German.
We ate there, and I'd have to say that the burger that I had was the best burger I've had since I got to Europe. Perfectly cooked with tasty fries on the side. I don't remember what MrReaves ate, but I do remember that it didn't last too long, so I'm going to assume that he enjoyed it.
We tried all of the beers except for the cider and the Radler, and we were pleasantly surprised with each style. My fave was the IPA and my husband liked the lager. It stayed fairly crowded all night, but we never had any problems flagging down our waitress for another drink.
They had on one of the ESPN channels that was showing a lumberjack competition. This is the second Christmas that we've gone away for the holiday where this competition has been on a television in a restaurant that we were in on Christmas Day. It is now a tradition for us.
Overall, we had a great time (so said my hangover....), and our metro stop back to the hotel was not a far walk, so this helps with the off-on-a-side-street location.
